Length of treatment

Often, Invisalign® treatment wraps up quicker than traditional braces. You may even start to see changes in two weeks with an average treatment time of about 9-15 months! Keep up with your checkups, and you’ll soon be flashing a straighter smile.

This aligner system typically requires less office visits compared to traditional braces due to the frequent adjustments needed to tighten the brackets and wires.

How It Works

After your initial consultation with us, we will take 3D images of your mouth and teeth using our iTero Digital Scanner. This high-tech device makes taking impressions super easy without the use of those old fashioned gooey molds! All it takes is about 15-20 minutes using its radiation-free wand to capture 3D impressions of your teeth. We can even show you what your smile will look like after treatment.

Following, you will receive your first set of aligners. You will wear each set of trays for about two weeks before switching to a new pair, or as prescribed. We will continue to monitor your progress and schedule check-ups about every 6 weeks!

Caring For Invisalign®

It is crucial that you properly care for your clear aligners in order for your treatment to go as planned. Here are some tips for handling your clear aligners:

Don’t fold them in a napkin or paper towel. Instead store them in a case. We hear a lot of stories about those trays accidentally getting tossed in the trash!
Make sure you wear them for at least 22 hours a day, or as recommended by our team. It’s extremely important you only take them out when playing sports, eating, drinking, brushing or flossing.

Make a habit of cleaning your aligners. Use a soft toothbrush with toothpaste to gently scrub them..
After you eat, develop healthy oral habits like brushing and rinsing your mouth before putting your Invisalign® back in. Rinsing helps flush out any extra food particles that may be lingering. By doing so, you ensure bacteria doesn’t get trapped in your trays!
