Outside The Office

Dr. Mac Collie was born in Greenville, NC, but spent most of his youth in Wrightsville Beach, where he enjoyed life by the ocean. He has lived in Raleigh for 17 years with his wife, Kim, a Chapel Hill native. They have three children, Mary Mac, Katharine, and Hugh, each with their own unique and special qualities. Their family also includes a playful and beloved Westie.

An avid golfer, Dr. Collie aims to play once a week. He also stays active by running in his neighborhood, exercising at the gym, and enjoying sports like tennis and basketball. Traveling with family is another passion of his.

Committed to giving back to the community, Dr. Collie regularly volunteers at Wake Smiles, an outpatient clinic at a local hospital, and is actively involved in Hayes Barton United Methodist Church.
